Nepy is designed to help users explore and learn about Nepenthes. Nepy does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with the developer or with third parties.

2. What Nepy collects
Nepy does not collect personal data from users and does not send personal data to the developer’s servers.
Nepy does not provide account creation, login, or cloud synchronisation.
3. Information stored locally on your device
Nepy may allow you to create or save content locally on your own device, such as:
- favourites, wishlist, and seen-in-habitat collections;
- personal notes and sightings;
- dates, locations, and photos that you choose to add to your notes or sightings;
- appearance preferences such as light mode, dark mode, or system theme.
This information is stored locally for app functionality and is not collected by the developer, not transmitted to the developer, and not shared with third parties by Nepy.
4. Photos, media, and optional device access
If Nepy requests access to photos or media on your device, that access is used only so that you can choose images to attach to your own notes or sightings inside the app.
Nepy does not upload those photos to the developer.
5. Location information
If you choose to record a location in a note or sighting, that information is stored locally on your device as part of the content you create.
Nepy does not collect or transmit your location to the developer.
6. Data sharing
Nepy does not share personal data with the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.
7. Analytics, advertising, and profiling
Nepy does not use in-app advertising and does not use analytics or profiling to track users’ behaviour.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because Nepy does not collect or store user data on the developer’s servers, the developer has no server-side personal data to retain or delete.
Content that you create in Nepy is stored locally on your device only. You can remove that content from within the app, where supported, or by uninstalling the app.
9. Security
Nepy is designed to minimise data handling by keeping user-created content on the device rather than collecting it on external servers.
No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but Nepy aims to reduce privacy risk through data minimisation.
10. Children’s privacy
Nepy is not designed to collect personal data from children or from any other users.
11. Third-party platforms and services
This Privacy Policy applies to Nepy itself. App distribution platforms, device manufacturers, and operating system providers such as Google Play or Android may process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Their data handling is outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect from the “Last updated” date shown above.
